The FAST Project (Forward At St Andrew’s) was established in 2015 and is lead by the Community Development Officer (CDO) who reports to our FAST group which is made up of the Minister, Session Clerk, Treasurer and other members of the Kirk Session.

The FAST Project has evolved over the years and is involved with many aspects of Church life including, Hall letting, building cleaning, upkeep and development.  The organising and staging of community events are an important element of this group and we hold many events throughout the year aimed at and achieving, bringing the community together through fun, enjoyment and participation.

The group have been instrumental in the development of our halls with upgrades being carried out in every area of our building.  The large hall has been transformed into a multi-use area used by a wide variety of different groups and organisations.  Since the formation of the group the hall letting income had increased by 76% between 2016 and 2019.

 

We produce a self-funding magazine that is distributed to approximately 3000 households, local community centres, library, school and businesses.  As at Spring 2020 we had increase the size of the publication from a 4-page document to a 26 page full colour production.  

As a group we look forward to building on what we have already achieved and rising up to the challenges and opportunities that we may face.
